Knowing Characters

When I write a story I first must know my characters, everything about them, who they are, where they are from, even what foods they like, this makes them more real and gives them depth that they need.  In Z-Universe my main character is John Mason, at first I knew everything about him except his last name, I knew his likes and dislikes, his parents, and well everything but his last name, I finally solved this by naming him after our county, mason county.

I have been having trouble with writing this new story "The Red Light", after meeting with Cammie Eicher today it made me realize that I need to know my characters or I will struggle, so I thought about it and really got to know who they are and where the story is going, and BAM, I wrote almost 3,000 words just like that.

We sometimes forget the simple things, and forget that even the simplest little things can make life so much harder to deal with.

With the book I am planning currently, "Back To Life", I am being sure to remember to know everyone in the book, so it will go smoothly and I can get it released as soon as possible.

Zombies Eating Brains

Here is something that has always bugged me, if you are a zombie and only want to eat brains, and it

takes destroying the brain to kill a zombie, then how can a victim of a zombie in stories and movies come

back if they have no brain, if it is eaten by the attacking zombie then there can be no re-animation.

I know it seems funny that it bothers me since it is all just fiction, but I have seen movies where the

zombies want brains, they attack a victim and eat their brains, then later on that same victim is walking

around as one of them, how can that be if they have no brain.  That is my rant lol  Have a lovely day horror

fans!

10-10-12

Hey everyone!  I am working on my next book which has gone

through several names so far, right now it's called The Red Light.  I

have so many ideas with this book that it has been hard to sort them

all out and organize it all out to turn out like I want.

When I write I see it like a movie in my head, I see the

characters and everything they are doing, I just write what I see,

some parts of the book hurt me to write because I had come to care

about them, but the story has to go the way it plays out.
